WHO GAINS FROM GLOBALIZATION ?THE BUYERS OR THE SELLERS AND AT LAST WHO BECOMES THE SLAVE?

The name Globalization is a new terminology in a package to the present generation but Globalization itself has been in existence for thousands of years in a crude form. People, businesses and societies have interacted for centuries and will surely continue to do that for centuries to come. The only challenge the present day globalization is having on other societies is that the concept of dominance has been added unto it by the political and economic class that wield the power of many super structured societies. The ''dominance concept'' is the problem creator, which has made it possible for many in diverse societies to see much of the disadvantages in globalization for it has tainted and polluted their cultures in a swift manner, while globalization in its crude form gradually penetrated different societies and much of it influence was of an advantage to the new societies it came into.

The advantages of globalization is consistently having its impact daily in terms of a one click enlightenment pace of sharing ideas, business and cooperation among humans across the world, but the missing point is that all the advantages of globalization was not married into a nation's culture to keep the culture and its people safe and secure. Africans have learnt much of western culture but still retains those salient part of their culture, many in the cities prefer to look more western in all their daily activities from their eating manners, speaking and to the way they dress even though they try to mix the culture to suit their way of life while those who live in the rural areas tend to apply little of western influence to their culture.

The positive impact which produces quick interaction between different races, regions and people across the world enables rapid socioeconomic development, deserts have been transformed to concrete forests, labor intensive jobs which takes years to complete are done by machines, through medicine human lives have improved in rural and urban areas and many more that one can not finish talking about but it is the ''imposing will'' of the super industrious nations that believe the weapons of globalization was manufactured in their backyard from the time of colonization which led to the present day globalization while antagonist call it imperialism, that has created much anguish, pain and suffering to those societies that are at the receiving end.

A vivid example was the laws passed in some Black African countries banning same sex marriage that that would have been ''imposed'' unto those society by the influence of party politics from a distant nation which do not posses the-same culture with that of the African people. The support given to Gay rights within Black Africa nations was not extended to the Arab world for fear that its cultural value and religion does not accommodate it and similarly, when the leaders in some Black African nations passed laws against same sex marriage, the United States which is seen as a leading light of globalization decided to threatening those nations by withdrawing the political and financial support it has always rendered to support those nations. As good as globalization is, the pressure of forcing other governments into accepting ideas that do not conform with traditional norms of those societies makes the society to feel the pains of economic and social strangulation of its culture.

Wars in the Arab world and the race for resource control also plays a significant role in globalization  and these are some of the examples which has led to distorting some of the Arabs cultures. A winning and strong army imposes its culture systematically and seeks to turn into a neo-colonizing power with its influence on the land scape of the country, commodities produced from the occupying power nation floods the local market and the culture of such a weak nation under occupation will be secondary because of the economic importance and roles that such product plays in the lives of the people.

It is evident that economic survival supersede any culture, since want and need comes first in the equation, globalization has been able to take care of the immediate need and that is why in today's Arab satellite channels one will wonder if one was watching a true Arab program on television which portrays the Arab culture or that of the Western society cultural values.Globalization has made many third world societies become totally dependent on advanced nation to the extent that the food they consume are being imported. It has made nations with abundant natural resources not being able to convert those resources to finished products but export their raw material for finished products which is sold at an exorbitant price to the-same people.

The Arab spring is an evidence to the fact that globalization has affected the Arabs in both negative and positive form, social media was used to inform and gather people for political protest and at the-same time it was used to pass false information around the world. Its globalization that has made many Arab nations rely on financial aids from Western donors, even though with the vast natural resources in their land that would have emancipated them economically, globalization has made it to be a herculean task for the Arabs to be creative, industrious and to develop their society for future generation to come.

I have taken time to study many Middle Eastern made products and have discovered that they are not being advertised on Arab satellite channels, well, that is if they virtually produce any product for  the world market. A study of the Iranian culture within the context of globalization show how the nation develops its culture by using Persia language names for goods or new inventions that are not produced or developed in the country.  Cultures can only be kept safe to a certain degree when indigenous local content is added to the economic value in the process of globalization.
